Hold On Tight
A Song by Akiva in Translation
In my mind, I had hoped that after the chagim I might cease sharing songs from the “war playlist”, or at least be able to intersperse them with other songs. I haven’t given up on this wish, but with loss of so many soldiers in recent days (I plan to share more about this on Thursday), and the passing of the one-year anniversary of Simchat Torah with so many Israelis still held in captivity, this isn’t behind us and I don’t feel there’s anything else I can share now.
I translated “Hold On Tight” by the singer/songwriter Akiva last January. It gave me strength then, and as I listen to it again, it does still now. I hope this will be so for you as well.
