Waiting for a Miracle, in Our Own Days

I choose to share this today, on the eve of Hanukkah, as a prayer. Dana’s prayer. The prayer of the sister of a hostage, who is waiting, waiting, waiting for her brother Omer to come home.
I searched for something that would give a sense of where Israel is at in these weeks when we keep hearing that a deal is close… holding on to hope, believing, wanting to believe.

And also - it can be hard to hope, and to keep praying as if it might happen at any moment as the days and weeks continue to pass. But if Dana isn’t giving up, neither are we.

The clip that I found already has English subtitles but I found them hard to follow and they’re not completely accurate, so I’ve added my own translation on top of what is there.

Please G-d, we will see miracles, in those days, and in our own.
